Katherine Schmit is pursuing a Master’s degree in Trumpet Performance at the Mead Witter School of Music. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. During her time at UNL, Katherine served as a Drum Major for the Cornhusker Marching Band, an officer for Kappa Kappa Psi honorary band fraternity, and a member of several chamber and large ensemble groups. Outside of music, she enjoys cooking, writing, and spending time with friends and family.
