Ryan Valdivia (She/They) is a performing and teaching artist currently pursuing a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance at the Mead Witter School of Music. She received her Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance from Illinois State University. Previously, Ryan has been an active performer and leader in the Illinois State University Big Red Marching Machine, ISU Wind Symphony, and the ISU Symphony Orchestra. In addition to serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant with UW Bands, they are an active performer in ensembles at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and freelancer with diverse ensembles across Wisconsin and Illinois. Outside of music, Ryan enjoys cooking, sketching, and travel.
